nottuo is a design firm specializing in branding design based in Nishiawakura Village, Okayama, a rural village with a population of about 1,400 people.
The company name "nottuo" is a dialect term in Sendai-ben that means "to loaf around" or "to be idle" in a negative sense. However, viewed from another perspective, it can be interpreted as "free-thinking and acting without being bound by preconceived notions." This term has been used since our days as freelance designers and embodies the spirit of us at nottuo.

Initiatives

At nottuo, we are exploring innovation through our in-house project called "drill:". This initiative involves developing and managing experimental products, events, and stores. It is designed to refine our ability to deliver high-value offerings through continuous experimentation and practice across various business formats.

木造建築の設計施工会社からキャリアをスタートし、住宅・飲食店・宿泊施設・商業施設など幅広く建築設計、インテリアデザインを行う。鈴木のアイデアをカタチにする空間のスペシャリスト（ちなみに鈴木とはムサビ建築の同期）。
