nottuo was entrusted with the branding for a unique container project, born from the dream of the third-generation president of KOMATSUGUMI, a local construction company in Nishiawakura—the same village where nottuo is based. We designed the architectural plan, interior, logo, business cards, website, and signage.

This project brought the KOMATSUGUMI president’s passion for containers to life. While making the most of the containers’ raw, rugged steel exterior, the interior design incorporates materials that evoke the culture of their core construction business, such as scaffolding planks, steel pipes, and plywood panels.
In designing the space for Anzen Daiichi PARK, we specifically envisioned it as a place for a wide range of villagers, from children to the elderly, to create their own fun. Therefore, as its name suggests, we intentionally designed it to feel like a public ‘PARK’ where people can casually stop by.
Since its opening, we’ve seen local children hanging out here on their way home, villagers gathering for drinks at night, and kitchen events or flea markets being held on weekends. As fellow villagers ourselves, we are delighted to see that another wonderful spot for enjoying village life has been created.
If you ever find yourself in Nishiawakura, please be sure to stop by and make use of it.
